A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Officer, you will target professionals with a strong background in EHS management, particularly those experienced in the energy, engineering, or oil and gas industries. You will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining EHS programs across Siemens Energy’s operations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability. Your work will involve travel to various project sites, conducting inspections and audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize risks and enhance operational safety.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • EHS Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards, staying updated on changes and conducting regular audits and inspections.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Identify potential hazards and assess risks across facilities, developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and conducting incident investigations.
  • EHS Programs Development and Implementation: Design and implement tailored EHS policies, procedures, and programs, promoting sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
  • Training and Awareness: Organize EHS training programs for employees and stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship through regular communication.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various incidents, coordinating drills and training to ensure preparedness.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze EHS performance metrics, preparing reports and presenting findings to management and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

What You Bring

  • Education: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with mandatory NEBOSH and IOSH certifications.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the energy, engineering, or oil and gas industries, with an understanding of site operations in medium and high voltage substations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, along with knowledge of environmental laws and workplace safety regulations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in EHS software and tools.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage others effectively.
