We are looking for a motivated and competent Customs professional for the Customs team in South Korea. The Customs department is overall responsible for customs rules and regulations when importing and exporting goods and technology. We are involved in all steps from purchasing, selling through to the dispatch of the goods.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Implement customs compliance systems in alignment with SE TC C AP&CN and local requirements, ensuring lawful and efficient operations in South Korea
• Collaborate with internal partners to support the deployment of global and local customs tools and processes, enhancing overall compliance.
• Develop and conduct tailored customs communication and training programs for various audiences to promote understanding and adherence to customs regulations.
• Monitor changes in relevant customs legislation in South Korea and assist in the preparation of comprehensive Customs Guidelines.
• Identify and analyze local and global customs-related risks in collaboration with the Customs Responsible, and support the implementation of effective mitigation measures.
• Assist in broker management, perform spot checks using monitoring tools, and support mandatory and ad-hoc customs reporting, such as GDW.

What You Bring

• Possess a BA or equivalent experience in international management, logistics, or economics, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in customs fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in consulting on customs procedures with economic implications, including FTAs, classification, customs duty exemptions, Carnets, and import licenses.
• Strong understanding of local customs regulations and experience in broker management, ensuring compliance and efficiency in customs operations
• Advanced knowledge of logistics and sales processes, along with a deep understanding of project business dynamics.
• Familiarity with the development and implementation of new policies, concepts, IT tools, and processes to enhance customs compliance and efficiency.
• Native language proficiency and business-fluent English skills, complemented by assertiveness, customer orientation, strong communication and moderation skills, and a proactive approach to addressing topics, with a willingness to travel minimally (<10%).
