Our commercial project manager (CPM) coordinates the financial, contractual, and strategic aspects of assigned projects. A typical day involves collaborating with engineering, logistics, procurement, and construction teams, managing budgets and contracts, and inspiring change orders and claims. They also engage with collaborators like clients and the management team to report progress and mitigate risks. The role demands strong financial acumen, contract management skills, and the ability to navigate diverse teams across different time zones. Our CPM will never get bored, working on such dynamic and international large projects.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Manage project team with Project Manager, set targets, mentor team, support personal growth.

• Managing the project enabler process: Conducting contract/order negotiations regarding commercial aspects, including Variation Orders. Proactively setting up a contract and claim management process with the Project Manager and the Contract Implementation Manager (CiM), ensuring all critical and legal elements are considered. Reviewing, approving, or rejecting change requests and enforcing legitimate claims while fending off unjustified ones. Managing all commercial risks and ensuring communication of contractual obligations to the project team.

• Manage project finances with Project Manager, ensure accurate cost calculations, prepare commercial documentation, and ensure compliance.

• Managing the project throughout the project Life Cycle: Engaging in the sales and project initiation phases, assessing customer requirements, and coordinating risk evaluations. Ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

• Managing customer requirements: Gathering and managing customer expectations, maintaining positive relationships with senior commercial representatives, and communicating project deviations. Conducting lessons learned sessions to improve future projects.

• Coordinating collaborators: Facilitating clear communication and teamwork with key collaborators, supporting the selection and engagement of partners and subcontractors, and assisting in procurement and logistics management.

• Encouraging compliance to standards, rules, and regulations: Leading project members to adhere to Business Conduct Guidelines, encouraging a culture of trust and integrity. Encouraging compliance with relevant tax regulations and export control standards, establishing a framework for regular compliance checks, and involving corporate governance units as necessary.

• Proven experience leading project teams in conjunction with the SPM.

• Strong ability to gather and manage customer expectations, maintaining positive relationships with senior commercial representatives.

• Capability to lead project members to adhere to Business Conduct Guidelines, encouraging a culture of trust and integrity.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and export control standards, including transfer pricing and delegation concepts.

• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English.
