Weekend Nights, Friday-Sunday 3 days/12 hour shifts 6:00PM-6:30AM, $1.50 shift differential

A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dedicated team in a safe, climate-controlled environment to manufacture essential parts for large generators. Your primary role will be to build and shape components following blueprints and detailed instructions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
  • Set up and adjust machinery for optimal performance.
  • Use a variety of tools to bend, grind, cut, and weld parts.
  • Apply testing and measurement equipment to verify accuracy.
  • Lift and transport parts to various areas or machines as needed.
  • Follow instructions to treat parts with specific solutions.
  • Use ovens to accurately bake and cure parts.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine necessary operations.
  • Assemble and install parts with precision and accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve welding issues like undercut, porosity, and lack of fusion by adjusting welder settings for efficient results.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area, including daily cleanup.
  • Complete a drug screen and background check as part of the employment requirements.
  • Follow all Siemens Energy policies and procedures and tackle additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Early professional experience is helpful; manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English is essential.
  • Basic digital literacy is required.
  • Resourceful hand coordination is needed to work optimally with parts.
  • Ability to pass the Work Keys assessment with the required minimum score.
  • Capability to pass both the 1G t-joint visual/bend test and the 4G t-joint microscopic test.
  • High attention to detail is essential to avoid assembly and quality errors.
  • Strong mental and visual focus is required for intermittent workflow.
  • Good judgment and comprehension to plan, perform, and make decisions within standard methods and procedures.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Certifications

  • AWS GTAW Certification: Required.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
