A Snapshot of Your Day

You can expect to be working with teammates, in a safe, comfortable, climate-controlled environment, to assemble fuel system components for large integral natural gas engines. The primary purpose of this position is to assemble fuel valves according to specifications and written instructions. Your responsibilities will include disassembly of used fuel valves, inspection, cleaning of parts utilizing a chemical degreaser, sand blaster and shop tools, followed by re-assembly, final paint and packaging. In addition, you will assist with maintaining a warehouse space, managing shop inventory, and shipping material to customers and driving a forklift.

How You’ll Make an Impact

•  Cleaning parts as received in preparation for rebuilding the valve assemblies. Use of chemical cleaning and paint which may require use of a respirator.
• Inspecting the quality of parts using various measurement tools. Detailed report development and archival of findings
• Lifting and loading parts and components to transport to various areas or machines to include driving a forklift.
• Read blueprints, drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions to determine operations required.
• Assemble and installation of parts according to instructions.
• Participating with the team to keep the plant safe, organized, and clean, including cleaning your area daily.
• Use a computer including all Microsoft Office products.

• Experience level is early professional; manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Education level preferred is a high school diploma or equivalent but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language to understand instructions and other writings on the job description, follow warnings, safety and quality signage as well as writing communication when required on work instructions or sharing to team
• Close attention to detail is required to avoid assembly and quality errors and checks.
• Use of a computer including all Microsoft Office products.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Annual Salary: $37,100 - $62,400
