Position Title: Service Technician
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Mode of Employment: Permanent

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Service Technician, you will contribute to the company’s vision by performing technical, mainly pre-defined tasks to ensure effective service delivery for customer equipment.
You will work on-site to analyze technical issues, perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs, and execute maintenance activities while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

This role requires autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to resolve issues independently in a dynamic service environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyze technical problems on site and complete mechanical and/or electrical repairs and work orders.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Fulfill and control work orders via the designated platform within the defined timeframe.
  • Accomplish defined service operations and resolve product issues on customer equipment.
  • Plan and execute assigned maintenance projects independently.
  • Execute ramp-up, setup, and start-up procedures to prepare machines and equipment for operations.
  • Support the maintenance of technical documentation related to processes and equipment.
  • Provide technical advice and support to junior staff when required.
  • Maintain various types of equipment as needed.
  • Work flexibly and efficiently, addressing issues as they arise while ensuring service continuity.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical studies or Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Electricity or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wind energy in a similar position.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of English.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to a Safe Work Culture.
