A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Engineer for Primary Technology (f/m/d) for HVDC & FACTS systems, you are primarily responsible for the layout and arrangement of the various components and subsystems, which you coordinate in regular 3D reviews with all project participants and the customer. You actively contribute to the successful planning, construction, and installation of our innovative HVDC & FACTS systems and make your contribution to the development of the energy systems of the future.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- 3D-Design of HVDC & FACTS plant layouts as a solution to individual project requirements
- Coordination of work steps with all disciplines involved in the planning process (e. g. neighboring teams in engineering, sales, project management, equipment manufacturers), considering project milestones and costs
- Preparation of Primary Engineering documents, such as general arrangement drawings, busbar and clamp schedules, load drawings & earthing layouts
- Calculation of loading and short circuit values (electromechanical forces) acc. IEC standards
- Ensuring the overall success of the project regarding time, costs and quality
What You Bring
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering. Alternatively, you have a comparable education in a technical field with corresponding professional experience
- Long-term professional experience in international turnkey projects, ideally in the field of HVDC, FACTS or Substations. Applications with initial work experience are also welcome
- Project management skills to ensure project timelines, costs and quality.
- Leadership and communication skills as well as motivation, willingness to learn and passion for the job
- Advanced knowledge of CAD tools (e. g. AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, Primtech or similar) or willingness to learn them
- Fluent English skills, German (B1 level) is a plus, and willingness to travel (< 10%)
