A Snapshot of Your Day

 

As a project manager you will lead a global team (in a project management sense) in a research and development environment. You will be responsible not only for the technical content but also for business objectives such as budget, quality, performance, and schedule requirements. In addition to your role as a project manager you will be involved in different topics to support the transformer factories all over the world. The main product portfolio elements will be transformers for onshore and offshore wind applications as well as traction transformers for rolling stock applications. This role is an exciting challenge and future-oriented role!

   

How You’ll Make an Impact

 
  • Lead global teams (in a project management sense) in a research and development environment
  • Planning, documenting and reporting of development projects
  • Promote the standardization and modularization program
  • Project controlling including planning and reporting
  • Have the overall responsibility for a product development project
  • Drive key innovation projects and look for new fields of interest
  • Manage all project stakeholders
  • Proactively integrate cross functions to the projects
  • Strong focus on project KPIs (on time delivery, adherence to budget, quality)
  • Change management
  • Choose the best project management methods for each project
   

What You Bring 

 
  • Education (HTL/FH/TU) in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, material science or in a comparable area
  • Professional experience in international project management
  • Experience in transformers would be a benefit
  • Technical background is required
  • Knowledge of standard project management methods
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent skills in English, knowledge of other foreign language will be beneficial

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 51.314,34 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
