A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a Senior Expert Accessories for Power Transformers you are a major part of the power transformers development group. Within a global development team, you are responsible to define and support technical rules and solutions. You will be responsible not only for the technical content but also for business objectives such as budget, quality, performance, and schedule requirements. You make sure that we define and implement on the most uniform and standardized components, so that we can provide new sustainable engineering solutions in a timely manner while keeping the costs to a minimum. In addition to your role as Accessories Expert you will be involved in different R&D projects within the PRM organization and supporting the power transformer factories all over the world. 


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Lead R&D projects or subprojects in the development environment
  • Support the standardization and modularization program
  • Support non-standard functional requirements from end-customers
  • Project controlling including planning and reporting
  • Analyzing, rating and estimating user requirements and design solutions in collaboration with the partners and the project team
  • Active collaboration with teams from different departments and sites in an international environment 
  • Drive key innovation projects and look for new fields 

What You Bring

  • Education (HTL/FH/TU) in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering or in a comparable area
  • Mid- or Long-term experience in accessories and wiring expertise in different site technologies  
  • Focus on measurement and security equipment as well as experience with Sensproducts and monitoring systems 
  • Profound knowledge in CREO 3D, PDMLink (Windchill) and CADIM (Agile)
  • Expert knowledge of transformer portfolio, mechanical deign processes and rules as well as related manufacturing technologies
  • Ability to work independently, and to collaborate effectively with team members as well as with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong focus on customer and development target achievements (technical & commercial) as well as professional experience within international project teams
  • Good communication and negotiation skills and excellent English skills - knowledge of other foreign language will be beneficial
  • Professional experience in different R&D projects
  • Experience in supporting the global commodity teams in terms of topics related to technology and innovation, material qualification and technical supplier development including audits
