Product Lifecycle Manager

Function: Product Management for Control & Monitoring of Switchgear

A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of the Product Management team, you are responsible for portfolio elements for control and monitoring of air-insulated switchgear/gas-insulated switchgear (AIS/GIS) during the complete product life cycle.

You will start your day by answering questions to your portfolio elements from the global stakeholder network. Then you will define with the team the future portfolio strategy, the R&D workpackages and monitor the implementation status. Therefore, you will have several virtual meetings with engineering, order / offer management, sales, other portfolio manager, research & development and purchasing departments.   

You will be part of a global team, which every day works together to provide our Siemens Energy customers innovative and economic control & monitoring solutions for AIS/GIS Switchgears.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Create product strategies and define product roadmaps based on customer and sales feedback.
• Define R&D project proposals and evaluate their business impact (investment cost, profitability, product ramp-up and projected revenues)
• Prepare R&D project requirement specifications and monitor project implementations.
• Assure factory and market introduction for new or improved portfolio elements.
• Coordinate product phase-out/succession planning.
• Monitor market and perform technical/commercial analyses of competitor products.
• Support business functions like global sales, offer and order management in all topics related to your portfolio elements.
• Promote and support digital initiatives within Siemens Energy
• Participate, when necessary, in International Committees for Standardization

What You Bring 

• Expert knowledge based on several years of experience in control and monitoring solutions for AIS/GIS
• Knowledge of the product lifecycle process
• Business fluent in English. Good knowledge of German language would be an advantage.
• Ability to prepare and perform presentations to external customers and internal management.
• High level of self-management.
• Ability to lead and cooperate in global teams.
• Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking - decision-making capability.
