A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Manager of Compressor Development Package Design, you will be responsible for advising a team which is tasks with continuous improvement of our compressor package standards and associated package design.

We are looking for a leader who can work in a global organization and is able to deliver on time quality results with his team. This role demands technical knowledge and experience with our compressor packages to engineer and deliver purpose-built products for our traditional and emerging markets. In addition, this role requires a high level of collaboration in a Matrix organization within Engineering & Product Management but also with customers outside such as operations, procurement and strategy.

This role will report into the Global Head of Compressor Package Development and is based in Pune/IN.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own the Package Design Team within the Compressor Package Development organization to develop and deliver driven packages for our traditional and emerging markets.
  • Drive excellence and efficiency in your group to deliver development projects and project support in high quality, on time and in budget and establish an environment of collaboration, close agreement and mutual support within the organization
  • Develop competences in your team to deepen and broaden the expertise of your employees through structured training/development and ramp up plans.
  • Close alignment with Package Architect team to detail out concepts and update Engineering standards for use during project execution.
  • Proactively seeking guidance from your peers in Package Front End Engineering and Package Execution Engineering and collaborate closely with Product Digitalization, Operations and Procurement to bring developments and updates of standards to implementation.
  • Handling the load and capacity using JIRA while ensuring priorities are set to ensure progress and customer management.
  • Succession planning within the Package Design Team by applying the internal Engineering and Product Development network by developing the team towards a destination for local talents.
  • Measure your organization through critical metrics such as Engineering efficiency, return of invest on R&D spend, R&D budget alignment, time to market, bench-strength for areas of technical expertise and responsiveness during customer projects.

What You Bring

  • The foundation of your success is a degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 8 years’ work experience
  • You have a good technical understanding of rotating equipment trains with focus on system/package as well as instrumentation/control
  • Preferably you have experience in leading R&D and/or Engineering teams for rotating equipment in the oil and gas industry combined with in-depth knowledge of our compressor packages.
  • You have a consistent record of driving innovation and redefining organizations through strategic direction and empowering leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to drive desired results, combined with effective abilities in leading and implementing strategic plans.
  • Moreover, you have strong communication and networking skills and the ability to inspire your team as well as customers and partners.
