Operational Leadership Trainee
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a member of the operations team, the Operational Leadership Trainee will support the management and optimization of operational processes to ensure the efficient production of customized products according to customer specifications and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with experienced leaders to learn about coordinating production, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring operational activities to meet customer orders and deadlines effectively.
- Support the supervision and development of production staff, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Help identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during operations, facilitating communication with engineering, sales, and purchasing departments as needed.
- Learn to ensure that production equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated, reporting any malfunctions or defects to the maintenance team.
- Contribute to workforce management efforts to achieve daily, monthly, and annual operational targets.
- Monitor workflow and assist in identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in processes.
In addition to the above you will be expected to participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies and digitalization strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes and product quality. Foster positive employee relations by providing support, feedback, and encouragement to team members. Engage in training and development opportunities to build a strong foundation in operational leadership. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to environmental and health standards and regulations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, business, or relevant field required.
- Internship or co-op experience in operations, manufacturing, or a related environment is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to achieving operational goals.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
