A Snapshot of Your Day: You start your day by checking your email to identify any urgent issues that require immediate attention. Next, you run standard reports to assess the status of materials needed to support our global customers. Your day then involves taking action to resolve open issues, processing deliveries, and sending updates to our customers and teammates.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Order Execution: Manage the execution of orders for Generator, CPSL, and "ship direct" items for new apparatus projects.
  • Component Ordering: Respond to PCM's to drive the ordering of required components.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering and supply management colleagues to achieve on-time deliveries.
  • Export Coordination: Coordinate export activities for parts with customs brokers or authorized forwarding companies. Prepare export documents for shipping parts to various international project sites, ensuring compliance with US customs rules and regulations within Siemens Energy Operating Companies in the US.
  • SAP/OPP Management: Extend material masters in SAP/OPP for planning the supply of materials using MRP, lead time, planning, and BOMs.
  • Requisition Issuance: Issue requisitions to Procurement Specialists in SAP/OPP to obtain generator parts.
  • Product Availability: Review and report on product availability to ensure sufficient products are on hand to meet on-time delivery against customer demand.

What You Bring:

  • Education: BS/BA in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of successful experience in a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with computers, especially the use of SAP, with 4+ years of SAP experience with understanding of BOMs, drawing structures, and engineering specifications.
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic knowledge of generator components and systems.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills with local and international colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve problems.
  • Skills: Expert written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
