A Snapshot of Your Day

In this highly visible and dynamic role, you will lead the activities of the GT Service North America team! Together with your team your responsibilities include developing and implementing the strategy and action plan in the region while driving continuous improvements in operations, considering a full business responsibility of the region. Additionally, you will build on collaboration with other Execution Units and Functions, actively contribute to GT’s 10/10+ growth strategy and make GT SV a value creator for the Business Area, adding strong value to customers. You are actively driving the overarching global vision and goals as well as chipping in to GT value creation.

This role demands tight-knit collaboration, communication, and partnering skills, outstanding collaborator management, excellent discernment and a proven entrepreneurial, hands-on profile to optimally continue to grow and develop the business in North America.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement GT SV strategy and action plan to ensure business growth and profitability according to conditions of the different countries.
  • Apply right portfolio elements with clear value proposition aligned to customer needs and market trends and strongly connected to market approach and a proactive sales mentality.
  • Lead the Service North America organization in an effective manner to achieve the planned financial performance, building on collaboration with other Execution Units and Functions, chipping in to the 10/10+ target and making GT SV a value creator for GT.
  • Actively continue to develop a diverse and competent team being able to work globally across regions and hubs.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and business integrity by actively supporting our Zero Harm program and living our compliance culture.
  • Support global strategy of regionalization of GT and GT SV and being an active part of the management team.

What You Bring

  • MSc, MBA, with background in Engineering. Finance, Economics, Business Administration and Management also accepted.
  • Confirmed experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales ideally in the Transmission & Distribution market, service is highly desirable. Knowledge of grid industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven track record of leading and running large teams and sophisticated service operations through significant growth and scaling of the business
  • Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture and organization combined with a mentality of pro-activeness, innovation and collaboration.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/ objectives while taking ownership of sophisticated challenges. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed, English language is a must
  •  Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
