The Head of Sales for Gas Services Distributed Mesoamerica is responsible for the after sales market for the installed fleet of small gas turbines (SGT), medium gas turbines (MGT) and aeroderivative gas turbines (AGT) for the Mexico, Central America and Caribbean market.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the Gas Services business across Mesoamerica, owning customer relationships, market strategy, and fleet management while providing leadership to a high-performing team of Client Managers and Commercial/Quotation professionals.
- Drive commercial performance and business growth by delivering against key performance indicators, including Order Intake, Profitability, Fleet Retention (Market Share), and Customer Satisfaction.
- Act as the primary regional interface with global factories and execution organizations, ensuring seamless collaboration across SGT, MGT, and AGT product lines to support customer needs and business objectives.
- Define and execute growth strategies across the complete Gas Services portfolio, including Spare Parts, Long-Term Programs (LTPs), Revamps & Overhauls, Field Services, Modifications & Upgrades (M&U), and other service offerings.
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing organization by fostering employee engagement, succession planning, talent development, continuous learning, and a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer trends, and competitive movements to identify emerging opportunities, anticipate industry shifts, and position the business for sustainable growth.
- Translate regional and global business strategies into actionable plans, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and successful execution across the organization.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Commercial Operations, Service Execution, Engineering, and Global Product Organizations to ensure operational excellence and successful business outcomes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree is considered an advantage.
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively across executive, customer, and global stakeholder audiences.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Sales, Business Development, Commercial Leadership, or Customer Relationship Management within industrial, energy, or service-related sectors.
- Demonstrated success in driving commercial growth, executing market strategies, and delivering measurable business results in complex B2B environments.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams across commercial, technical, or customer-facing functions.
- Strong understanding of the Mexican, Central American, and Caribbean power generation and gas turbine markets, including market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Established relationships with key industry stakeholders and strategic customers, particularly organizations such as PEMEX, CFE, independent power producers (IPPs), and major industrial customers, are highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of the turbomachinery services industry, with expertise in gas turbine services, including maintenance, upgrades, long-term service agreements, spare parts, and field services.
- Passion for talent development, organizational growth, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Strong strategic thinking, executive presence, negotiation skills, and ability to influence decisions across multiple organizational levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout the region to support customers, teams, and business objectives.
