A munkakörről
A Snapshot of Your Day
The role functions as a finance process governance partner for P&LOG, translating operational scenarios into controllable financial processes. It supports decision-making by clarifying end-to-end impacts (balance sheet, landed costs, inventory valuation, compliance/audit risk), aligning stakeholders on responsibilities (RACI), and proposing workable process options that scale across high-transaction environments and multiple countries/templates. In addition, the role strengthens team capability by sharing best practices and upskilling P&LOG finance stakeholders to improve process adherence and reduce key-person dependency.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assesses the scalability and control implications of proposed processes, evaluating manual effort, GR/IR, accruals, MR11 impacts, and inventory valuation or moving‑average effects, while outlining risks and mitigation options.
- Acts as a functional bridge to system and process owners by translating business requirements into system‑relevant guidance such as pricing‑condition logic and master‑data dependencies, and validating outcomes through targeted data extracts.
- Drives cross‑functional alignment on end‑to‑end process ownership and responsibilities through RACI development and structured follow‑ups.
- Provides country and regional issue‑resolution support, including pricing and valuation corrections, FSL creation, plant transfer‑price issues, invoicing references, extract requirements, and freight‑recovery or price‑group‑adder topics.
- Performs execution‑gap analysis for operations by rapidly clarifying intended processes, assessing impacts, and coordinating corrective actions when processes are not followed.
- Supports pricing and valuation master‑data maintenance activities such as VK13 pricing tables and valuation‑type corrections (e.g., standard vs. moving average), coordinating approvals where needed.
- Resolves operational finance posting and configuration issues by offering practical guidance—such as journal‑reversal requirements or trading‑partner/profitability‑segment fields—and coordinating with process owners for sustainable fixes.
- Identifies and consolidates master‑data gaps and pain points, providing structured input into master‑data improvement initiatives.
- Prepares and shares analyses, extracts, and working files (e.g., sales‑order extracts, pricing notes, deep‑dive materials) while clarifying definitions and data fields for stakeholders.
- Drives a continuous‑improvement community for P&LOG finance processes by identifying recurring issues, sharing best practices, and tracking improvements to closure, while also delivering training and upskilling to strengthen team capability.
What You Bring
- Strong experience in finance process governance across complex, multi‑country operations with exposure to logistics and supply‑chain finance and accounting.
- Offers hands‑on knowledge of landed cost and inventory controls, including freight settlement, moving‑average valuation, and balance‑sheet topics such as GR/IR, ageing, and MR11‑type processes.
- Provides the ability to translate operational realities into scalable and auditable processes that support high transaction volumes across many materials and locations.
- Contribute strong RACI and process‑design capability to align Finance, P&LOG, Business Partners, and IT on ownership and workable solutions.
- Bring deep ERP process proficiency (e.g., SAP), understanding configuration impacts such as pricing conditions and master data, and troubleshooting through structured data extraction.
- Demonstrate confidence working across ERP finance and operations touchpoints, including SD/MM/CO, maintaining pricing conditions (e.g., VK13) and correcting valuation or master data (e.g., MM60) with a focus on sustainable controls.
- Show strong data literacy, producing and validating extracts, explaining field definitions, and structuring analysis for decision‑making forums.
- Deliver clear written communication for governance notes, decision logs, and risk statements, while effectively challenging assumptions and surfacing compliance risks early.
- Support capability building by facilitating communities of practice, creating simple training materials, and delivering training and upskilling for finance and operational teams.
- Handle stakeholder engagement across cultures and time zones, maintaining recurring governance cadences and ensuring follow‑through on actions.
