A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Buyer on the SE TI CP P SV Team, you support field service projects for compression and steam gas turbines across North America by managing requisitions, creating POs, and coordinating with suppliers through the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process. You resolve delivery and invoice issues, negotiate pricing, monitor market trends, and contribute to sourcing strategies that ensure timely, cost-effective supply and customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead end-to-end sourcing, including requisitions analysis, RFQs, negotiation, PO creation, invoicing and payment for domestic and international purchases.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, onboard new vendors, and implement supplier development strategies in collaboration with Supplier Quality Management and Commodity Management.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and quality requirements and responsible for cost savings based on your commodity.
- Implement procurement strategies, contribute to long-term supply planning, and support corporate costing and reporting. Maintain accurate procurement records in SAP and other systems, and update project plans to reflect procurement progress.
- Act as liaison between vendors and internal teams to resolve delivery, quality, and invoice issues, ensuring uninterrupted supply. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
- Participate in working groups and maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to influence supplier strategies.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree is required (Engineering background preferred) or 5+ years of equivalent experience in purchasing and field service operations.
- Demonstrate and apply broad knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of area of specialization.
- SAP knowledge required.
- Keep an open attitude, embraces technological opportunities, has an entrepreneurial approach and is curious. Ability to work independently and with an organized and disciplined approach.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent social management skills: active listening, collaboration, communication, persuasion & service orientation. Ability to travel 20% domestically or internationally. Digital Skills preferred: resolving computer problems with new technologies. i.e., programming skills.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
