The position of Commercial Sales Manager at Siemens Energy in Algeria is ideal for dynamic finance professionals with a proven track record in value creation within the energy sector. The role involves supporting sales activities through proposal management, offer calculation, invoicing, and project cost control, while analysing project financial performance to create value propositions for customers. Responsibilities include managing long-term maintenance contracts for large gas turbines, focusing on cost controlling, reporting, risk management, and customer relations. The role requires collaboration with various internal departments and direct customer interaction, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy’s business processes. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support financial and commercial activities within sales and bidding processes, ensuring compliance with business guidelines.
- Prepare essential financial documents, including contract analysis, risk evaluations, and bid/no-bid decisions.
- Optimize sales and proposal procedures to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Manage contract structuring and analysis, addressing clarifications, deviations, and tax implications.
- Assist the sales team with internal bid management and ensure alignment of contract terms with legal reviews.
- Analyze contract risks and develop mitigation plans to address customer-accepted risks.
- Provide commercial and financial support to sales and technical partners.
- Undertake project cost control and ensure accurate financial records in systems like SAP and Project Dash.
- Support monthly closing processes and ensure compliance with Siemens-FRG and local IFRS standards.
- Monitor budget data and conduct Actual vs. Plans comparisons, pursuing schedules for budget and KPI reporting.
- Compile data for reporting to support professionals and controlling management.
- Perform risk and claim management, including ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations.
- Prepare commercial offers for customers and manage order recognition and contract analysis.
- Ensure accurate assessment and evaluation of project risks and opportunities.
- Capture, monitor, and control project costs, including direct and indirect hours on service-related projects.
- Issue and submit invoices in accordance with customer contracts and regulations.
- Manage stakeholder requirements, including customers, subcontractors, and internal management.
- Address foreign currency risks in projects, adhering to hedging and currency guidelines.
- Collect and reconcile withholding tax (WHT) credit notes related to projects.
- Review and prepare THOP/SLA agreements with affiliates.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for commercial construction projects.
- Utilize oil and gas customer knowledge to tailor project strategies and solutions to meet specific client needs.
- Maintain responsibility for project profitability, cash flow, and asset management.
- Support the Project Manager in identifying and minimizing non-conformance costs (NCCs) and establishing effective reporting structures for projects.
What You Bring
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance, or related discipline
- Knowledge of IFRS and Algerian accounting regulations
- Build and work with cross-functional/ international teams (HUB, Headquarters, etc.)
- Skills: analysis ability, accuracy, good communication and interaction ability with both internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical and Negotiation Skills with both Customers and Vendors.
- Solid professional judgement and problem-solving competence.
- Tools: Proficiency in Excel, experience with ERP (ideally SAP)
- Languages: Perfect command of French and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Familiar with rules and regulations – Compliance, ECC, NCM, RIC
