A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer at Siemens Energy, you'll play a key role in ensuring our procurement activities support the successful delivery of products and services across the business. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, you'll manage the procurement lifecycle from purchase requisition through to supplier engagement, helping secure the right materials, at the right time, and at the best value.

This is a vared role where you'll balance day-to-day purchasing activities with strategic sourcing initiatives. You'll build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, contribute to commodity strategies, and identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders while maintaining SAP data integrity and ensuring compliance with company procurement procedures.
• Execute sourcing activities and assigned commodity strategies, supporting the Global Commodity Manager with supplier recommendations and procurement initiatives.
• Support supplier qualification, selection, evaluation, and development activities while building strong relationships to ensure quality, performance, and supply continuity.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, encourage early procurement involvement, and deliver effective purchasing solutions.
• Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium-value purchasing activities, resolving commercial and invoice queries while delivering value and supporting business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing standard procurement processes, supporting global best practice, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and compliance.

What You Bring

• Experience working in a procurement or purchasing role within a manufacturing, engineering, or operational environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience using SAP and e-Procurement systems, with good attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment while managing multiple priorities and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of operational, quality, and contractual considerations. Experience within the Energy, Oil & Gas, or similar industry would be advantageous.
• A proactive, collaborative, and continuous improvement mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
