A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive, split between a professional HR BPO for zero to gross processing and handled payroll (gross to net) with industry leading payroll providers. We are looking for a Country Payroll Lead for a country or countries within the Latin America Region to play a key role handling the payroll service delivery in the country, demonstrating knowledge of processes and related systems to optimally perform responsibilities; resolve issues on a payroll process; audit input data entry for accuracy and report needed corrections, control payroll process and reports from payroll vendor. This position will be primary contact at an operational level with payroll vendors and internal clients.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Play a key role in the payroll transformation in the region and support the Regional Payroll Manager with service managing the external partners and payroll providers engaged in this transformation and Payroll Operations.

  • Lead and ensure accurate execution of Mexico Payroll and its vendors
  • Define and implement all payroll controls
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements as well as collaborate on any payroll related project
  • Effectively solve the issues related to Payroll execution and partners
  • Responsible for partner and vendor management, capable of executive communication in English as well as Spanish

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in HR and Payroll Operations, including vendor management for related countries.
  • High level of affinity to and experience with Payroll solutions
  • Excellent in-depth analytical skills and detail-oriented work style
  • International mind-set; sophisticated experience as part of a geographically & culturally complementary team
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office applications
  • Collaborative style, happy to interact with many stakeholders e.g., in HR Centres of Competence and HR in the Regions, IT department, Finance department, management etc. Must be proficient in English, and nice to have a local language from supporting countries.

About the Team

In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function – People Systems and Services, a truly global and complementary team of specialists with an open mindset, responsible for ensuring Siemens Energy payroll is compliant, accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose, with a clear governance & risk management approach, handling our Payroll vendors and working closely with our HR Services team to safeguard end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation. You will get all the trust and empowerment to be successful.

The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of an EPC contract involving construction and building works in a multi-contractor environment. The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Completion and comment on design reviews for all disciplines,
  • Completion of all pre-construction planning documentation, providing inputs and expertise. Preparation and planning associated with Site Mobilization, including Site trailer set up. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, including managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Work closely and coordinate Site based Siemens Energy team members, incl. but not limited to Document Manager, Project Engineer, Supervisors, Commissioning Personnel
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the project schedule in a safe manner, within budget, and quality requirements, Promote the Zero Harm policies in everyday life while on the project,
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements,

What You Bring 

  • Experience 6 – 10 years working on EPC contracts involving construction and building works in a multi-contractor environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and principles, as well as safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in project/construction management software and tools.
  • The drive and enthusiasm to proactively handle all issues, matters and challenges on the project site.
  • OSHA 30 safety training.
  • Willingness and availability to travel for long durations.
