Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager in Projects (EHSMiP)
Ireland
Siemens Energy is looking for a proficient EHSMiP to provide advice and support across various business units in Ireland, including Sales, Service & Maintenance, Grid Technologies, and PE Projects. The role requires knowledge of Irish Environmental, Health & Safety legislation, and will involve auditing our Quality Management process and procedures.
How I will make an impact
Provide EHS leadership within the organization.
Identify EHS requirements and risks during the opportunity development phase.
Support integration of EHS requirements in bid documents.
Support PM in updating EHS risk evaluation during contract negotiation and project handover phases.
Participate in site inspection, draft project plans, and handle EHS issues during project opening and clarification phase.
Update project plans during detailed planning phase.
Support in contractor selection and dangerous goods regulations compliance during purchasing & manufacture and dispatch phases.
Support EHS Advisor(s) and Project Management team on all EHS issues during the construction/installation & Commissioning phases.
Ensure that EHS aspects, continued risks and hazards are documented at project closure phase.
What do i bring
Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Environmental Mgt. and Health & Safety Mgt.
PSDP / PSCS (Irl.) Awareness, SafePass (Irl.), Manual Handling Certificate.
Experience in the construction/energy industry delivering large infrastructure projects.
Previous experience as an EHS professional.
Experience working with Distribution Network Operators or Transmission System Operators DNO / TSO.
Accident Investigation Training, Internal Auditor ISO 45001 / ISO14001/ ISO9001.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. PIEMA, CMIOSH), Lead Auditor ISO 45001 / ISO14001/ ISO9001.
Safety Coaching / Behavioural Safety, Appointed Person (Lifting Operations), Occupational First Aid at Work.
Temporary Works Awareness, SF6 Gas Awareness, Train the Trainer Qualification.
Manual Handling / Abrasive Wheel / W@H Instructor Courses.
The role involves spending time at project locations and offices, therefore, organizational and time management skills are crucial as well as willingness to travel
