A Snapshot of Your Day 

After starting your day with a check-in with your team, you contribute to the development and implementation of solutions for the Control & Protection system of SVC Classic systems in Erlangen.
Mid-morning is spent assisting with integration tests at the Forchheim test laboratory, ensuring our SVC systems perform optimally.
Before lunch, you create detailed test reports, documenting the outcomes and observations from the integration tests.
In the afternoon, you work on developing documentation for project proposals, detailing technical specifications and retrofit plans.
You incorporate test results and relevant findings into our internal Wiki pages, contributing to the collective knowledge base.
Before you end your day, you make adjustments to technical drawings, refining our approach to SVC refurbishments.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Enhancing the reliability and performance of FACTS plants by developing robust Control & Protection systems
  • Ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in our SVC solutions through diligent integration testing
  • Providing critical insights with detailed test reports to drive data-driven improvements in our services
  • Laying the groundwork for effective client and stakeholder communication with clear technical documentation
  • Sharing knowledge efficiently by updating internal Wiki pages, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Influencing project success with precise technical drawing adjustments for SVC refurbishments
What You Bring
  • Enrollment in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
  • Understanding of control systems, protection systems, and power grid technologies
  • Experience or coursework in electrical power systems and FACTS technologies and project management
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and test report creation
  • Knowledge of technical drawing and design software tools is desirable
  • Strong programming skills with Matlab Simulink for simulation and modeling
  • Experience in Wiki content creation and maintenance and interest in AI
  • Collaboration skills and effective teamwork
  • Excellent communication in both German and English
