As a Wind Technician, you will be a vital part of our renewable energy operations, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our wind turbine fleet. This role involves hands-on technical work in a dynamic environment, where you will apply your expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced wind energy infrastructure. Your contributions will directly support the generation of clean, sustainable power. The core of this position involves performing routine and corrective maintenance on wind turbines. You will conduct detailed inspections of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, diagnose faults, and execute repairs to minimize downtime. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while documenting your work meticulously to support continuous improvement and operational excellence. Success in this role requires a combination of technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and physical aptitude. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with wind turbine systems, the ability to work effectively at heights and in diverse weather conditions, and strong collaborative skills to coordinate with engineering teams and site personnel. What You Need To Make a Difference

60% Turbine Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Implement new technologies and system upgrades to enhance turbine efficiency and output.

20% Safety, Compliance, and Reporting

  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in detailed reports.
  • Provide data and analysis on turbine performance to support continuous improvement initiatives.

20% Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with site managers and engineering teams to diagnose complex technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate work schedules and share technical insights.

Certifications

  • Wind Turbine Maintenance Certification
  • Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training

Education

  • Technical diploma or Associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Wind Energy Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of proven experience as a Wind Technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.

Skills

Technical Proficiency

  • In-depth knowledge of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively at heights and in challenging weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.

Operational Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in inspections and documentation.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for reporting and team coordination.

Language Proficiency
