How You’ll Make an Impact
• This role is a hybrid role that includes technical tasks in the office as well as in the field.
• The mission of the Warranty Application Engineer is to support and give recommendation to the Warranty Project Manager with technical knowledge of the products on issues associated to warranty scope. He or she must also be able to implement technical recommendations on site.
• The Warranty Project Engineer must be able to coordinate, lead and drive technical investigations to a final solution and implementation on site together with the engineering department, the material coordinator and the Warranty Project Manager.
• It is important to be able to understand requirements from customers, to translate those requirements into implementation and to make sure that customers are satisfied.
• This is a new type of role and you will be able to shape your working day in an independent manner. Travelling (domestic and international) and weekend work is expected.
What You Bring
• Bachelor in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), or equivalent experience.
• Extended knowledge of Gas turbines, especially from Siemens Energy MGT fleet such as SGT600/700/750 and 800.
• Knowledge of Gas turbine maintenance concepts.
• Be able to work well in teams and have a good communication, both internally and externally.
• Drive technical clarification and root cause analysis of warranty issues.
• Ability to support procurement to source warranty spares.
• Ability to coordinate technical issues and conduct meetings.
• Ability to face the customer to present a technical scope.
• Good knowledge of IT systems/software, especially SAP, PLM2020 and MS Office.
• Good communication skills (written & oral) within the English/Chinese language.
• Field service commissioning engineer or control back ground engineering experience is plus.
