Vendor Manager – Global Mobility Management


As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, Siemens Energy is in the process of transforming its Global Mobility Management (GMM) with a focus on independent, state of the art consultation and service delivery to the business. 

We are looking for high-impact, experienced and hands-on Vendor Manager – Global Mobility Management to focus on setting up a global vendor management system within our transformation initiatives, working with colleagues and diverse internal and external stakeholders across the globe.

Global Mobility Management (GMM) is a subarea of Human Resource Management. 
 
Global Mobility Management at Siemens Energy ensures both the continuation of the Business Areas' success and an attractive work environment. Siemens Energy assignment types include short-term trips and long-term delegations.

A Snapshot of Your Day 
Working in a global team with an open approach that will support you and your development. You will perform a full range of Vendor Management activities for HR Global Mobility Management at Siemens Energy. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
Represent GMM in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers to support our purchasing department
Locate expert vendors and interview them to determine availability and terms of sales.
Set medium and long-term objectives and take responsibility for implementing a performance management system for assigned vendors within the GMM remit. 
Develop and implement contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Manage and deliver a portfolio of major vendor management programs to meet the requirements of the overall organizational GMM strategy. 
Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future vendor availability.
Participate in the development of specifications for solutions, products or substitute vendors.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.Escalalation Management.
Control department budgets for vendors.
Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.

What You Bring
University / Post Graduate (Master’s Degree)
Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level (over 5 years to 10 years).
Experience in the field of Global Mobility Management would be favorable
Structured, self-driven, no problem meeting deadlines
Analytical approach to problem solving, “can do” attitude, working independently as well as team oriented 
Fast paced environment: Proactive attitude, have the ability to quickly learn GMM specifics and requirements that have an impact to the business.

In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function – Global Mobility Management, a team responsible for one of the largest, most complex global mobility programs in the world. Our team is responsible for guaranteeing the compliant, rapid and economically viable cross-border movement of Siemens Energy employees to job sites and foreign offices around the world.
