A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
The Financial Analyst for Field Services Execution supports the project team to drive overall project success! This role will lead effective project reviews that provide transparency and solid decision-making. The Financial Analyst also will maintain accurate and clean project data in SAP to enable timely and reliable financial forecasts and reporting.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Serve as a key business partner to project managers, providing financial reporting, cost analysis, and strategic insights to support decision-making.
- Conduct regular cost reviews, including variance analysis, and present findings to management to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in backlog phasing activities and forecasting to ensure accurate and timely corporate financial submissions.
- Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes for assigned orders and projects, including work-in-process cost reviews, revenue accruals, and balance sheet adjustments.
- Support quarterly P&L reviews by analyzing variances against forecasts and budgets, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with retention guidelines to facilitate audits and maintain adherence to Internal Control standards.
What You Bring (requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP and strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and tackle problems optimally.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to balance multiple projects and deadlines, while working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
