Training and Competency Coordinator

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Training and Competency Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Competence and Training function within a manufacturing environment. Your day will involve coordinating training activities, maintaining accurate competency data, and supporting the development of workforce capability.

You will work closely with internal teams, external providers, and management to ensure training is delivered efficiently, records are maintained to a high standard, and the workforce remains compliant and capable. Alongside day-to-day coordination, you will also support continuous improvement initiatives and provide insights through data analysis to enhance training effectiveness.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate internal and external training activities, including scheduling sessions, booking resources, and managing communications with participants.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of training delivery, including materials, venues, and supplier coordination.
  • Maintain accurate training records and competency matrices, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Support the administration of learning management systems, including data entry, reporting, and user support.
  • Generate reports on training completion, compliance, and key performance indicators for management.
  • Assist with tracking training-related documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Support strategic projects by analysing training and competency data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training processes, systems, and workforce capability.

What You Bring

  • Experience in a senior administrative or coordination role, ideally within training, HR, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing logistics, scheduling, and multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with data, reporting, and maintaining accurate records or systems.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems or similar platforms is beneficial.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach with strong problem-solving capability.
