FIXED-TERM Position (12 months)

A Snapshot of Your Day

The trade compliance specialist starts their day by reviewing the latest import and export regulations updates. They check for any changes in trade laws that may impact the company's operations.

Audit and Documentation: Throughout the day, the specialist conducts audits of import/export documentation to ensure compliance with trade regulations. They verify the accuracy and completeness of records to avoid any potential fines or penalties.

Consultation and Training: The specialist may consult with internal teams on trade compliance matters, guiding international trade laws and regulations. They might also conduct training sessions to educate employees on compliance requirements and best practices.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Assist the area of Trade Compliance & Risk in different activities such as:

  • Submission online and in person of different procedures/request of authorizations/letters under oath/etc. related to customs and foreign trade.

  • Monitoring and keep updated the customs agenda that contains all the activities that should be carried out monthly.

  • Verification of the correct integration of foreign trade files (recordkeeping)

  • Assistance modification Import Export Work Instructions and other internal documents related to customs and foreign trade processes.

  • Monitoring of daily legal changes in Customs and foreign trade-related legislation

  • Assistance in managing Siemens Energy’s certifications and foreign trade programs

  • Other duties as assigned

Perform activities related to Customs Broker Management (CBM), such as:

  • Elaboration of entrusted letters for Customs Brokers, Navy companies, and warehouses as required

  • Update Customs Broker’s file as required

  • Assistance in other duties related to CBM

  • Assistance modification of the Customs Brokers Standard Operating Procedure


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree: International Trade, Commerce, Law, and Economy.

  • Professional Experience: Experienced candidates in foreign trade & Customs (more than 3 years of experience)

  • Must have experience in Customs Legislation (Ley Aduanera, Reglamento Ley Aduanera, RGCE, Reglas de la Secretaría de Economía, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to focus on project work and efficiently bring projects to completion.

  • English at a professional working level

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with supervision and follow instructions.

  • Willingness to acquire more experience and knowledge in Trade Compliance and Risk

  • Soft Skills: Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence
