A Snapshot of Your Day

In this hands‑on, fast‑paced role, as the Tool Maintenance and Test Technician you’ll spend your day assembling and inspecting tool kits that support field operations, performing basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tests to ensure every tool is job‑ready. You’ll stay active by pulling parts and managing inventory, handling returns, and preparing equipment for shipment, while also operating forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and lifting systems throughout the day. As you work, you’ll help maintain a clean, organized environment and occasionally mentor newer team members, all while following strict safety protocols that keep you and your team protected. This is an Alt shift position with the work hours of 9:30AM – 6:00PM in the Fall and Spring, and regular work hours of 7:30AM –4:00PM in Summer and Winter.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Adhere to all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE at all times; Use required PPE consistently to maintain compliance and personal safety.
  • Perform basic repair, refurbishment, and inspection across hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Replenish and organize tool‑kit inventory, coordinating with the Tooling Engineer when needed.
  • Prepare tooling kits for shipment by collecting, verifying, and packaging all required items.
  • Conduct inspections and test procedures to ensure equipment meets operational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including tasks from lower labor grades and maintaining a clean work area.

What You Bring

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; Education in power plant technology or related field (A.A./A.A.S preferred.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and tools including hand tools and power tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems for basic documentation and inventory tasks.
  • Experience or certification on material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and lifting systems is preferred.
  • Ability tp lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the workday is required.
  • Perform moderate physical movements such as reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping and Climb ladders and stairs as needed for equipment access and workspace navigation is required.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
