As a Technical Trainer for Plant Operations and Support, you will work with power plant operators from around the world, sharing the knowledge and practical know-how they need to confidently operate Siemens Energy power generation equipment. In this role, you won’t just teach you’ll empower others, strengthen operational excellence, and play a key role in the safe and efficient production of energy worldwide.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and deliver site‑specific operator training programs and operating procedures for open‑cycle, combined‑cycle, and steam turbine power plants
  • Design and support simulator and I&C training for customer and internal personnel
  • Create customized training solutions aligned with plant configurations and customer needs
  • Act as a technical advisor and mentor on power plant operational issues
  • Ensure training delivery meets customer expectations, schedules, and budget requirements
  • Travel frequently to domestic and international field assignments to support training and project execution

What You Bring

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance. Nuclear propulsion operations on submarines or surface ships, considered equivalent.
  • 3+ years instructing specific to power plant operations and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and I&C knowledge related to power plant equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in written and verbal English to effectively understand, meet, and communicate customer and technical needs
  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally; valid passport required (office based in Orlando, FL when not traveling)

Preferred:

  • DCS controls systems experience strongly preferred
  • Navy Nuclear with experience at a training command

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
