How You’ll Make an Impact
- Main responsibility is being the primary technical focal point for the customer and communication channel to the wider Siemens Energy technical network.
- Day to day activities would include investigating issues which impact the safety, reliability, and availability of the customer’s A65 fleet to identify & communicate potential solutions.
- The candidate should be able to communicate fleet issues, solutions, and maintenance through the authoring of Service Bulletins, Technical Instructions & Report Diagnostic Services.
- Support and work with the regional teams and the operational support desk to address issues of a complex or specialist nature.
- Effectively communicate the issue, solutions and technical risk impacting the A65 fleet.
- Maintain accountability for the definition and record keeping of on-site maintenance and modifications, supporting the MOC process
- Planned maintenance:
- Define planned scope and intervals
- Review & communicate modification definitions
- Review of necessary parts
- Inspection test plans
- Borescope report review
- Project reporting requirements:
- KPIs
- Maintenance record keeping
- Communicate Standard Technical Instructions and Energy Guides with Field Service Representatives.
- Customer Management of Change (MOC) Technical Input
- Unplanned Maintenance:
- Trips / failed starts
- Remote diagnostic reporting
What You Bring
- Typically, minimum of 10 years of successful field service / commissioning / technical support experience related to aeroderivative gas turbines of all designs, A65 experience is preferred. Any experience with centrifugal compressors would also be beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience in commissioning and working in a Field Service environment is essential to this role.
- An engineering degree is required preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent customer facing communication skills are a must in being a successful candidate.
