How You’ll Make an Impact
• Prepare testing procedure: obtain and monitor required documents (work schedule, inspection plan, drawings, specifications).
• Plan and execute component and documentation inspections during production of turbomachines and components at supplier. Support engineering department by failure analysis.
• Conduct tests (e.g. visual, ultrasonic, magnetic, penetrant testing and dimension inspection etc.) and verify the results of supplier’s reports
• Perform hardness testing and witness of mechanical property testing and verify the results of supplier’s reports
• Support suppliers to improve the quality of NDE & DIM inspections are fulfilled with specifications
• Document inspection / approve component: prepare, check and approve quality documents (e. g. protocols, inspection plans, inspection reports). Prepare and monitor non-conformance reports / fault messages.
• Prepare inspection specifications: prepare or review test instructions and specifications.
What You Bring
• Certificates of non-destructive testing level 2 at least, according to ISO9712-2012 or GB/T9445-2015, including but not limited in certificate of VT, PT, MT, UT.
• Strong practical experience on ultrasonic testing for power generation components, such as steel and iron castings, forging and large steel fabrication according to EN or US standards.
• At least 8 years’ experience in NDE field.
• Good communicate skills.
• CWI and IWE certificates are plus.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection before and after machining.
• Knowledge of hardness testing and mechanical property testing.
• Excellent in English, speak, write and reporting.
• Willing to learn, ready for new task and challenge.
• Teamwork and ownership.
