A Snapshot of Your Day
As a member of the Supplier Quality Development team, your mission is to ensure a high-performing supply base in terms of quality, reliability, and safety. This is achieved through a balanced approach that emphasizes early involvement and professional supplier quality management, in close collaboration with procurement, multi-functional colleagues, and business partners.
You will be engaged throughout the entire product lifecycle—from cradle to grave—at both operational and strategic levels. Your responsibilities include supplier qualification activities such as supplier selection, assessment, and auditing; product and process qualification at suppliers; and direct supplier quality management to support factory operations, projects, and service. This involves driving both preventive and reactive measures to maintain and improve supplier performance.
This position collaborates with the China Supplier Quality Development team and works in close partnership with the quality and commodity teams located in China, Europe and North America, forming part of a dynamic multinational team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Supplier Qualification – support on-boarding of new suppliers by performing supplier capability analysis and supplier risk assessment.
• Lead Product and Process Qualification of suppliers providing components/systems for SE GS Business Area with focus on Forging. Heaving machining as plus.
• Supplier Development – initiate and implement supplier quality improvement measures.
• Plan & Implement Supplier Quality Assurance measures during entire supplier lifecycle (qualification + ongoing business) to ensure Supply Chain Resilience.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive measures at supplier for quality issues.
• Apply Risk Management Methodologies to avoid quality issues at supply base.
• Support product development of new/revised components to ensure manufacture-ability & source-ability and provide technical evaluation of design changes as guidance to cost impact analysis.
• Highlight opportunities for Innovation & Improvement – externally at supplier via technical developments / best practices / industry standards and internally via process improvements / optimization / digitalization.
• Active member supporting Procurement and Business initiatives - Localization, Local 4 Global, Sourcing Strategy Development and Sustainability.
What You Bring
• Experience as quality engineer, manufacturing engineer or process engineer required. Practical manufacturing experience with casting parts preferred.
• Working experience in technical functions in the Energy, Oil & Gas or related industry - preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in engineering related major.
• Initiative, results oriented and strong analytical thinking.
• Experience working in a global environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies.
• Willingness to travel ~20%.
• Project Management Experience preferred.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
