A Snapshot of Your Day
The primary job requirements of this position are to lead a production department of diverse, technical employees in the manufacturing of large industrial/utility steam rotors & turbine assemblies. The shift you will lead is Weekend Dayshift Friday – Sunday, 5:30am – 6:00pm and Weekend Night-shift Friday – Sunday, 5:30pm – 6:00am. You will start your workweek on Thursday with 2-4 hours overlap with Weekday Supervisors to perform shift turnover.
You will lead daily toolbox meetings at the start of shift each Weekend shift, focusing on Safety, Quality and assignments for the shift. At times, you may find it necessary to assist your employees in completing a task. If any of the areas need assistance, you would help them or call for help as needed. It is important that you be visible on the floor to make sure things run efficiently. You will be encouraged to perform safety observations and provide positive coaching to get the operators to not only implement safe working practices but empower them to coach other employees.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), Associates Degree (AA/AS) with 4 years of work-related experience, or equivalent work-related experience (8+ years) 2+ years of direct supervisory experience or 3+ years of manufacturing experience involving assembly, welding, and machining. Preference given to candidates with experience in large rotating equipment.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and or 5S.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Conflict resolution experience with an hourly workforce is preferred.
- Strong experience with computers, Microsoft Office software, MRP and Quality Control systems. SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Must be a collaborator willing to tackle tasks and actions that are outside of normal business requirements.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
