A Snapshot of Your Day

You are part of the SIEAERO and OHL Operations Team, being responsible, as a Sensor Operator, you will be responsible for executing data acquisition missions in accordance with our provided manuals and standard operation procedures. You will be at the most exciting part of our service, flying in helicopters, operating sensors and engaging the customer in the field.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Prepare flight paths using KML files for navigation during helicopter-based inspection missions.
  • Mobilize and test multi-sensor systems on helicopters in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Operate sensor systems during overhead line inspections and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Transfer equipment and mission data to technicians for post-flight processing and analysis.
  • Contribute to product development and process optimization by providing operational feedback.
  • Support test flight campaigns and assist in training and mentoring new Sensor Operators.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, Aviation, or a related technical field.
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience in sensor operations, aviation systems, or field-based technical roles. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Proficiency in flight planning tools such as KML file creation; familiarity with multi-sensor systems and helicopter integration.
  • Hands-on experience in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Ability to travel as business requires. Willingness to travel internationally and participate in helicopter-based utility patrols and field maintenance activities.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
