In the area of project scheduling at Siemens Energy Transmission, there is basically no day that is the same as the next. Considering your duties as an integral part of the project management team, you will face new challenges every day across all project phases.
Regardless of whether you find your use in an offer project or in the execution of future-oriented electricity transmission projects, you are an active part of the energy transition. You are part of a sustainable power supply strategy, which is to be further implemented in the coming years with many projects.
As part of your tasks, you will help to plan and implement the project’s goals in teamwork and with foresight, to give the project a compass to overcome any challenges that may arise in the best possible way. As part of your work, you help design the prerequisites to secure the energy supply of the future.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform scheduling during the bid or settlement phase for complex turnkey power transmission projects,
- Build, customize and update a settlement schedule with more than 4000 activities (Primavera P6 scheduling software),
- Plan and coordinate contract schedules with project management, engineering team, construction management or subcontractors throughout the execution phase,
- Regularly updating the schedule taking into account established project management methods and project reporting (critical path analysis, milestone trend analysis, earned value management, deviation analysis)
- Detection of deviations and development of appropriate countermeasures.
What You Bring
- Completed studies with a technical background or technical training with corresponding many years of professional experience
- Many years of professional experience with excellent knowledge of the methods of scheduling, resource and project planning and controlling, critical path analysis, network engineering
- Many years of professional experience in engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning interfaces
- PRIMAVERA Enterprise, P6 / MS Project experience
- Experience in EPC projects, ideally in the field of power transmission
- Experience through construction site assignments
- Intercultural experience
- Right to work in the UK
