A Snapshot of your Day
As a Senior Mechanical Supervisor for the DR Legacy fleet, you will oversee all technical aspects of control system installations and overhauls during service outages. Your day will involve leading a team in the installation, servicing, and modification of steam turbine control systems, ensuring adherence to OEM quality standards. You will communicate progress and challenges to clients while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance with EHS policies.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Perform installation, servicing, and modification of steam turbine control systems to OEM quality standards.
- Supervise and direct a team to ensure complete and efficient execution of control system projects.
- Interpret P&ID and control schematics to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Communicate project progress, schedules, and spare part recommendations to clients while preparing detailed technical reports.
- Interact with various levels of customer and Siemens Energy organizations to resolve issues and identify additional service opportunities.
- Uphold a Zero-harm culture by enforcing EHS policies and maintaining a safe work environment.
What you Bring
- High School/GED diploma or Engineering degree with equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of directly related experience in supervising the overhaul of steam turbine control systems and related equipment.
- Proficiency in standard office software and portal-based systems for reporting time, expenses, and service reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to navigate difficult discussions with customers.
- Basic understanding of commercial aspects to identify contract requirements and recognize tasks that may require additional funding.
- Fluency in English, with some knowledge of steam turbine mechanical scopes and inspections.
