A Snapshot of Your Day
You'll be part of our Wind Power Legal & Compliance Offshore division, providing expert legal support to complex, high-value offshore wind energy projects. Your day may involve drafting and negotiating turbine supply and service agreements, advising the sales team as a major bid takes shape or providing claims management support in the background of a signed contract.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Draft, review and negotiate high-value, complex commercial contracts for offshore wind projects, including procurement, construction and service agreements
- Provide legal advice and support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bidding and development to execution, claims and close-out
- Lead contractual negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable terms and mitigate commercial risk
- Identify, analyze and advise on legal and contractual risks, ensuring compliance with international and national laws and monitoring governance policies within the project context
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior management, providing strategic input, delivering legal training to business teams and supporting claims resolution, including mediation and arbitration where required
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as developing standard contract templates and legal guidance for the offshore business unit and liaise with external legal counsel on complex matters
What You Bring
- Qualified as a lawyer (e.g. Advokat) in Denmark, another EU jurisdiction, the UK, or another strategic market, with bar membership and a Master's degree in Law (e.g. Cand.jur.) or equivalent
- Around 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a commercial lawyer, in-house or in private practice
- Demonstrable experience in the energy, construction or infrastructure sectors, with exposure to large-scale international projects highly preferred. Wind and offshore experience is a strong plus
- Strong skills in contract drafting and negotiation, including FIDIC contracts, combined with sound legal risk management and business acumen
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a highly international, diverse environment and enjoys engaging with stakeholders across many countries.
- Fluent English required, Danish or other languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30 days per year)
About the Team
You'll join a wider legal team of nine colleagues within our Wind Power Legal & Compliance Offshore division. Six colleagues, including this role, focus on sales support for offshore turbine supply and service agreements, while three specialize in maritime law on a separate track. It's a truly international and diverse group with lawyers admitted to practice across Australia, Poland, the UK, Hungary, Spain, Singapore and Denmark. You will collaborate with international, cross-functional project teams on assignments that can span Europe, APAC and beyond.
