Become part of a great team of experienced Legal Counsels and Contract Managers shaping the energy landscape of the future! The world is currently facing a transition of the energy market that is characterized by an increasing energy demand.

In your role as a member of this team, you will actively support the manifold activities in project business of the Business Area “Gas Services”. Your primary task is the legal support in the purchasing activities coming along with projects for the national and international sale of large power generation equipment (large gas turbines, steam turbines and generators), suggesting innovative ways to tackle the purchasing challenges arising in complex project business.

Sounds interesting? We are looking to strengthen the “Gas Services Legal and Compliance Central Products” team at the earliest possible date, with a focus on providing legal support in purchasing matters of complex project business.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage all legal purchasing matters/risks and contracts in complex project business with a special focus on supporting the national and international sale of large power generation equipment.
  • Take initiative and contribute proactively to master business challenges by thinking entrepreneurial and by balancing governance and business needs.
  • Engage and cost consciously manage outside counsel when needed at times.
  • Drive process development and optimization to gain efficiencies.
  • Foster an organizational culture of ownership, empowerment, transparency and “speak up”.
  • Collaborate closely within the global Legal and Compliance community.

What You Bring

  • Background as a fully qualified lawyer with several years of professional experience in the legal department of an internationally operating company or a law firm, preferably in relation to international infrastructure/energy projects and/or purchasing matters.
  • Deep knowledge of contract law and international contract practice and the ability to personally lead contract negotiations.
  • Deep business understanding and passion to enable business transactions and to drive change.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills coupled with intercultural sensitivity and competence.
  • High motivation to work in a team in an international environment.
  • Excellent language skills in verbal and written English. German language would be considered an asset.
