A Snapshot of Your Day

Do you want to play a leading role in shaping the next generation of electrical solutions for our onshore and offshore wind turbines?
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior High Voltage Design Engineer to lead the development of HV components and system solutions, from early concept through detailed design and final release. In this role, you will be influencing design direction and guiding cross‑functional stakeholders toward robust, high‑quality HV solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead specification and design activities to ensure high‑quality and reliable Medium & High Voltage components (e.g., switchgears, cables, power transformers)
  • Evaluate and select technical solutions in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Drive and own purchase specifications, requirement documents, and technical deliverables
  • Perform advanced design risk assessments using the DFMEA process and mentor others in applying best practices
  • Support on quality audits and contribute to supplier development
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IEC standards and internal design guidelines
  • Integrate health and safety considerations into all HV solutions
  • Act as a senior engineering reference, supporting decision‑making and knowledge sharing across the organization

What You Bring

  • Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar (wind turbine experience is a strong advantage)
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Medium & High Voltage components in industrial or energy applications
  • Proven ownership of requirement specifications, system documentation, and technical governance
  • Solid understanding of IEC standards relevant to MV/HV equipment
  • A structured and proactive approach, with the ability to independently drive complex design tasks
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate across multiple functions and geographical locations
  • Excellent communication skills—able to build trust, provide clarity, and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong English skills, both written and spoken

You will join a truly global High Voltage engineering team with colleagues located in China, Denmark, India, and Spain. The team consists of skilled specialists who collaborate across regions, time zones, and turbine platforms. We value open dialogue and an inclusive working environment where questions are welcome and knowledge is shared freely. You will have the opportunity to grow at your own pace, supported by peers who believe in learning through collaboration and real technical ownership.
