Join our dynamic team as a Steam Turbine Supervisor! You will plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute various tasks during the installation and maintenance of Steam Turbines. Your leadership will ensure that high-quality and safety standards are met while you tackle exciting challenges. Imagine being at the forefront of power generation, where your expertise directly contributes to operational excellence and innovation in the energy sector.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will implement scheduled and unscheduled Steam Turbine maintenance activities, taking responsibility for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as duration, resource allocation, and quality.
- You will review and inspect the necessary standard and special tooling and equipment during the on-site outage preparation phase.
- You will arrange and coordinate material handling, logistics, and subcontractor activities on-site to ensure smooth operations.
- You will prepare daily shift activities, ensuring clear communication and handover with peers while leading your team effectively.
- You will perform troubleshooting for all Steam turbine and auxiliary systems, supporting Generator and/or Gas Turbine maintenance as needed.
- You will ensure proper documentation and timely submission of reports and check sheets related to assembly and disassembly activities during outages.
- You will actively support outage preparation activities alongside project engineers and HSE professionals, ensuring a collaborative approach.
- You will provide guidance and mentoring to develop the skills of Siemens Energy workforce and subcontractors.
- You will implement creative problem-solving techniques for technical issues, aligning with site management and QHSE standards.
- You will ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with HSE standards, prioritizing the safety of your team and subcontractors.
What You Bring
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or a vocationally trained/high school diploma/GED, with at least 5 years of experience in the power generation industry as a Steam Turbine or Generator Supervisor.
- Profound skills in mechanical maintenance activities, particularly in power generation or the Oil & Gas industry, with a readiness to work hands-on under pressure.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications, working independently in accordance with international codes and standards.
- Good English language skills, both verbal and written; additional language skills are a plus.
- Digital literacy and confidence in using relevant IT applications and tools.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude and willingness to take on additional tasks to improve processes.
- A creative, lifelong learner who thrives on generating better solutions for technical challenges.
- A team player who communicates effectively and respectfully, solving problems under pressure in a diverse environment.
- A solid understanding of HSE and quality requirements in your field of work.
- Willingness to travel independently and extensively worldwide.
