A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Regional Project Development Manager for Siemens Energy Compression, you will lead technical sales efforts, focusing on sales and solution development. Your role involves achieving sales targets, guiding the regional sales team, and exploring new business opportunities with key clients.
Collaborate with customer relationship team, bid management, engineering, and global product centres. Develop regional service & aftermarket leads in North & Latin America. Develop technical solutions, cost modelling, & valued proposals while also working in close collaboration with our global operational team located in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, & Asia Pacific to deliver order entry growth & operational excellence.
This position will directly report to the Global Head of Sales & Bid Management for the Siemens Energy Compression division.
We are looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused leader that looks at shaping the Compression business for future generations!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the sales development process for complex projects related to centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, geared compressors, and gas engines, focusing on opportunity discovery, qualification, and strategy development.
- Propel development in the service business domain throughout key markets, covering Modernization & Upgrades, Repair, Field Service, Parts, Controls, Digitalization, and Service Programs.
- Identify and influence key decision makers while navigating complex internal and external selling environments, ensuring alignment with company growth and profit guidelines through a unique value proposition.
- Foster and uphold solid partnerships with crucial clients and allies to craft personalized solutions, securing customer happiness through exceptional service and support.
- Partner with senior leaders to roll out a holistic sales strategy, predict service business in Europe with Salesforce, and manage project handovers to commercial and execution teams.
- Monitor market trends, perform financial analysis, report on key performance indicators, and meet sales targets while participating in SE business growth initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field is preferred. Must have at least 7 years of experience in technical sales, marketing, business development, or strategy in oil & gas, power generation, or industrial services sectors, proving success in diverse markets.
- Experienced in compressors and industrial rotating equipment, ideally at a major supplier.
- Experience in compressor engineering, including aero and mechanical design, coupled with comprehensive system knowledge and the ability to develop high-level solutions for clients.
- Proven ability to work with multinational organizations in diverse cultural environments, showcasing strong intercultural communication skills and the capacity to inspire and motivate collaborators at all levels.
- Proficient in analysis, organization, and leadership, consistently delivering projects on time with high quality. Strong communication skills for presenting to senior leaders.
- Travel up to 50% locally and globally, fluent in English plus extra languages, proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and Tableau.

This role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits, including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $91,700 to $178,900 annually, and the annual incentive target is from 10 % to 15% of the base salary.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
