A Snapshot of Your Day

Inspectors will provide inspection services for incoming material to ensure the items meet drawing, specification and/or standards as applicable. Inspectors will inspect records and ensure these are correct and complete. All findings and nonconformances must be documented in detail via the adequate electronic systems.

How You’ll Make an Impact

      Demonstrate integrity and a commitment to quality by standing up for high quality standards. Take critical to quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements, and parameters applying standard and special gauging to ensure that material conforms. Evaluate quality requirements to specification or drawing.

      Document detailed findings via electronic systems, or other form of written communication. Validate paperwork for accuracies, approve complete documents, and upload reports/records to SAP as required.

      Communicate any out of specification condition followed by a quality hold or Quality Notifications (QN) as warranted. Create QNs within SAP and task others as required.

      Conduct internal audits to ensure process are being followed. Will present results to management. Participate in continuous improvement activities, workshops, and events as necessary.

      Support the execution of the inspection plans, engaging with suppliers and customers as per requirements. Provide support to teams on quality aspects of acceptance/inspections on a case-by-case basis.

      Support Non-Conformance Cost (NCC) management through root cause analysis, defining countermeasures, and supporting the information loop. Lead quality defect/fault investigations. Manage certification requirements with suppliers and customers, review equipment certification.

What You Bring

      High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

      A strong quality approach is essential. Quality background and manufacturing experience are preferred. Candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision and should have excellent communication skills verbally and written.

      Must be able to read and interpret engineering documents and demonstrate said capability. Must be proficient with gauging (i.e., micrometers, caliper’s, no-go/go gauges, thickness gauges, verniers, etc.). Must be willing to learn specialty gauging.

      Digital literacy: Microsoft Office proficiency is a requirement (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook). Must have knowledge of SAP, etc. or show capability to learn these systems in timely fashion.

      Candidate must be willing to cross train in all different tasks in the quality department and work overtime if required. Must be willing to temporarily change shifts for training or production needs. Candidate will perform any other task that management may deem necessary to ensure quality. Candidate will work safely all the time and will report immediately any safety concerns to management.

      Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
