A Snapshot of Your Day

The Prime function of the role is to maintain Quality of Components/Products/Paperwork and their records as indicated within the IMS and Customer requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Review and inspection of products, paperwork and/or components to ensure compliance with appropriate specification, customer requirement and QMS controls
  • Maintain company traceability requirements by accurate maintenance of QC records
  • Liaise with customer and supplier representatives both on and off site in a positive and productive manner to ensure customer happiness
  • Assist and deputise for supervisor in the performance of their duties and provide cover due to absence as required
  • Ensure all duties are performed in a professional, safe and efficient manner
  • Lead business improvement activities and initiate deployment of strategic tasks and projects
  • Identify process errors and process improvement opportunities
  • Identify potential quality issues
  • Adhere to safety processes and guidance at all times. Proactively find opportunities for improvement in regard to safety

What You Bring

Essential:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship with minimum NVQ level 3 in related field and/ or Product/ Process knowledge and related NVQ level 3
  • Existing experience with using metrology equipment such as Micrometers (various types), Verniers, Gauges etc.
  • Time served in an engineering field and good product knowledge
  • Understanding of criticality of IMS requirements for Quality, Health and Safety and Environment
  • Proven ability working within IMS
  • High standards of accuracy to ensure quality of data is maintained

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of operating to ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Business improvement techniques and H&S / Compliance training
  • CMM and OMM operation and programming experience
  • Awareness of Siemens connectors Product build and testing processes
  • Knowledge of SPC
  • Quality related qualification NVQ level 2 or above
