A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
As a Project Engineer at Materials Solutions, you’ll play a crucial role in defining and optimizing manufacturing processes for our additive manufacturing business. You’ll work closely with technical and engineering teams to develop new products, solve manufacturing challenges, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Follow established techniques, SOPs, and work instructions to maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams on new product development and process improvements.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, documenting deviations and supporting corrective actions.
- Support production by troubleshooting daily operational challenges and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead the development of components using the APQP process.
- Provide engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including:
- Hosting cross-functional sessions.
- Facilitating risk assessments, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and control plan development.
- Creating and maintaining quality plans, part structures, and technical manufacturing instructions.
- Conducting capability studies and root cause investigations for manufacturing issues.
- Documenting lessons learned for future improvements.
- Take technical ownership of development, pre-serial, and serial production products, including product deviation dispositions.
- Develop and communicate technical instructions, including subcontractor operations, to meet customer requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING
REQUIRED:
- Several years of experience in project engineering, with a strong understanding of APQP methodologies and problem-solving tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and ERP systems.
- Experience executing APQP projects in high-volume production manufacturing.
- A proven track record of delivering validation packages to external customers.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and ensure compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical and self-motivated approach.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English.

- Experience in high-volume production manufacturing and managing development programs.
