A Snapshot of Your Day
This role plays a key part in providing dedicated financial counsel and support to business operations regarding Treasury and Trade Finance/Guarantees in the LATAM region, ensuring continuity of service.To fulfil this objective, the role is structured around three core areas: Financial Analysis & Business
Advisory, Reporting & Performance Management, and Process Improvement & Governance, aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring compliance.Given the focus on independent analysis and advisory, the ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of corporate finance and financial planning.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Act as the main Business Units point of contact for Guarantees related topics for some countries in the region.
- Support the Siemens Energy Organization on the issuance, advisory and ongoing management of guarantees for customers, as well as (export) letters of credit, along with providing the required system and data maintenance, documentation, reports, and controls.
- In cooperation with the respective internal departments, negotiate terms and conditions for projects.
- Request and see through the processing of the guarantee issuance – including the respective formal checks and documentation – directly with Banks.Support the continuous risk evaluation of the Guarantees and Letter of Credit portfolios and the definition of respective risk mitigation proposals.
- Participate and support in the cash flow monitoring and reporting (e.g., daily cash requirements, cash receipts and payments, financial obligations, debt covenants, interest charges and earnings, etc.)
- Identify and implement improvements for financial processes and reporting systems to increase efficiency and data accuracy, while ensuring all financial activities and reports adhere to internal controls, corporate governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related business field.
- You have a minimum of four years of working experience in the finance business in a bank or (multinational) corporation, in trade finance, corporate treasury and preferably as well in guarantee.
- You are fluent in English; business fluent knowledge of additional European languages would be beneficial.
- Accountability, being able to communicate effectively in multicultural environments and collaborate with relevant stakeholders among bank partners, CFOs, Accounting, Legal, and Taxes
- You are highly customer-focused, and team-oriented and have a generally good knowledge of commonly used IT software, including Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in business intelligence, SAP, and report writing.
- Knowledge of country/regional European markets, regulatory framework and other financial institutions are preferable.
