A Snapshot of Your Day

A typical day involves leading a team of strategic and operational buyers across the Americas region in procurement activities that support a project-based business for Transformers and Switchgear. Lead supplier negotiations and supplier improvement measures while negotiating new contracts and building a resilient supply chain. The role includes the coordination of procurement resources, ensuring compliance with sourcing processes and supporting team negotiation strategies on pricing and contracts. Develop and lead a procurement team supporting projects across the Americas region.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Lead team in end-to-end procurement processes including RFQs, bid evaluations, PO Issuance, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with project execution teams for early engagement and optimized sourcing strategies for various commodities in a project-based organization.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate procurement activities across multiple regions.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in energy, infrastructure or engineering projects.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation, analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and SAP with knowledge of contract law, international sourcing and vendor management best practices
  • Ability to speak English and Spanish
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
