A Snapshot of Your Day
As a PLM Teamcenter Expert (f/m/d) at Siemens Energy, you are a major part of our mission “connecting efficient factories”. Within a global and distributed development team, you are responsible to define and support CAD/CAE/PDM and PLM solutions and the related architecture and concepts to enable and improve the transformer engineering and manufacturing business. You make sure that we define and implement on the most uniform and standardized PDM/PLM components in an agile way, so that we can provide new sustainable engineering tool solutions in a timely manner while keeping operational costs to a minimum. With your expertise you will also support non-standard functional requirements from end-customers. Your work contributes to sustainable PDM/PLM Tool solutions in line with Siemens Energy guidelines such as cyber security, SE IT agile and modern state of the art development standards. Their results lead to the strengthening of Siemens Energy's competitiveness by enabling the engineering in the sites to work more efficiently.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support for the Power Transformer (PT) Engineering Design business across different PT locations worldwide with respect to define and realize business requirements of CAD/CAE/PLM and ERP solutions to constantly improve the PT business together with the IT and a User community
- Collaboration in an international environment with international colleagues and business partners in the areas of CAD/CAE/PLM tool development, operation, and support with a direct interface to PT Engineering, manufacturing, SCM and digitalization topics as the Business PLM system coordinator and related project manager
- Definition of business requirements, development of blueprint specifications, business cases and related project schedules, assign and coordinate project resources and conduct timely status meetings with Stakeholders, internal and external partners as well the CAD/PDM expert community
- Coordination of the software specification, development, release, distribution and operation process together with the (Key)User and the Development team the software specification, development, release, distribution and operation process
- Analysis, rating, and estimation of business/user requirements and design solutions in cooperation with the stakeholders and the project team
- Definition, handover and maintenance of PLM software components for in-house operation at the transformer production sites as well as performation of user support
- Help improving the development methods and processes in a multi-cultural agile and highly skilled team
- Contribution to the Siemens Energy transformer business in terms of quality, efficiency, and sustainability as part of the future orientated digitalization and tool development team
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in computer science or engineering with a strong focus on IT CAD/CAE, PLM and ERP systems
- Long-time experience as Administrator and/or Project Manager in the areas 3D CAD/CAE (i.e. ProE, Creo, NX) and PLM systems (like Oracle CADIM/Agile, Windchill, Teamcenter) as well as the underlying processes
- Familiarity with the software support and development process e.g. in the mechanical design area of the Transformer business and Experience in use, operation and/or customization with Creo, PDMLink, Oracle CADIM/Agile or Teamcenter and underlying configuration and automation capabilities
- Profound experiences in the area CAD/PDM/PLM tool harmonization with regards to PLM IT system architecture, concept design and the development of related solutions and interfaces
- Familiarity with Siemens Energy processes regarding IT architecture development
- Very good interpersonal, and communications skills (English) and willingness to travel while acting in an international environment
