A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team where each day begins with a thorough shift turnover with the off-going crew. You will take rounds on all facility equipment and perform chemistry analysis of boiler and cooling tower water. Engage in preventative maintenance activities, attend training sessions, troubleshoot onsite issues, and analyze plant performance alongside your peers and management. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems, providing corrective actions while operating systems in remote or local control to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform failure analysis to identify the causes of equipment or system malfunctions.
  • Execute Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, verifying failures before maintenance is performed to ensure safety.
  • Assist in routine maintenance functions, including minor repairs, oil additions, and tightening belts to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Operator to monitor plant efficiency and complete all necessary training to qualify as an OMT.

What You Bring

  • A high school diploma with an industrial background and two years of experience in a power plant environment is preferred; an Associate’s degree in Power Plant Technology is a plus.
  • Specific knowledge of mechanical systems, plant operations, and boiler water chemistry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to learn and train others.
  • Proficiency with mechanical and hand tools, and the ability to speak, write, and understand English.
