A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our specialized heavy lifting team as a Vessel Mobilization Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in the installation of tagline systems on installation vessel cranes. You will be responsible for planning and supporting the mobilization and demobilization of these systems, which are essential for stabilizing the lateral and vertical movements of a crane’s load. Imagine being at the forefront of innovative lifting solutions, ensuring safety and efficiency in every operation!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Plan and prepare for the mobilization and demobilization of tagline systems.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for sub-suppliers, clients, and vessel owners.
- Collaborate closely with the Equipment (EQ) department, responsible for the design and supply of the tagline system.
- Review and participate as a stakeholder in the design and validation process.
- Provide on-site support during mobilization and demobilization activities.
- Sign off and approve overall work on-site, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Participate in and ensure successful Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) are performed.
- Review sub-supplier lift plans to ensure compliance and safety.
- Collect lessons learned and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development of procedures and standards for traverse design and mobilization.
- Create and improve standard checklists and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the overall quality and safety of mobilization activities.
What You Bring
- A strong technician/mechanical background with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with tagline systems (traverse systems) in offshore or onshore settings.
- Familiarity with heavy lift operations and managing/supervising contractors.
- Proven ability to analyze complex situations, identify underlying issues, and develop effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience in the wind or offshore industry is a plus.
- A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to leading change.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety in all aspects of lifting operations, integrating safety protocols and best practices into mobilization activities.
- Comfort working in an international environment.
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written;
- Willingness to travel up to around 30% of the time.
